Devcon 8 Community Hub RFP, Mumbai, India
We are applying to host a Community Hub at Devcon 8, bringing together builders, researchers, grant operators, and community friends to explore better public goods funding with open AI models.
About
Community Hubs are physical spaces inside Devcon where communities host their own programming, workshops, discussions, research sessions, creative formats, and more. We want to bring the Ethereum DPG Study Group with libp2p, IPFS and SEER into that shared space for open, practical conversations.
This year's Community Hubs are going back to the roots, welcoming proposals focused on Ethereum's core principles and the communities working to strengthen them. Our proposal connects those principles to public goods funding, contribution attribution, and open infrastructure.
Focus areas
Weighted evaluations, rubrics, and ecosystem analysis for attributing impact across maintainers and contributors.
Deep Grants and RetroPGF mechanisms driven by contribution data and key ecosystem metrics.
An open evaluation and agent layer built on libp2p, IPFS, Multiformats and IPLD.
Evolving libp2p's dependency graph to support accurate maintainer recognition.
Dashboards and signals, including PLDG Cohort 6, that inform allocation decisions.
Experimental work with the Ethereum Foundation's Mopro SDK for verifiable contribution.
Building on SEER to enable automation, classification, clustering, and prediction, taking the best of prediction, weighted scoring, and ML/AI into an open-source stack.
Community Hub RFP
Devcon 8 Community Hubs are returning to the roots: communities will create spaces for their own programming, workshops, discussions, research sessions, creative formats, and more. We are applying for a hub in Mumbai and encouraging other community friends to apply too.
Our objective is to apply Ethereum's CROPS values, Censorship Resistance, Open Source, Privacy, and Security, through open evaluation data, verifiable attribution, and transparent allocation mechanisms for public goods funding.
Every selected Community Hub will be invited to take the stage at Devcon 8. Our hub would use that dedicated session to bring its programming, research, and community to a wider Devcon audience.
